Sources are the causal and variational (spatial and temporal) origin of the events that incessantly form the Reality. Sources, even though they are inseparable unities, always manifest two aspects: an active and a passive side. For convenience, having good in mind that they can’t really exist as separated entities, only for descriptive purposes and following the common knowledge, we can identify two kinds of (sub-)entities: Agents / Forces and Acted / Fields. In short, a Source is "a Force in Action on a Field".

We call them sources because they represent at the same time the causal and the variational aspects of the creation of existence at every level of Reality.

We can identify only one Primary Source and in infinite number of Derived Sources.

The properties of Sources

Both the two aspects, tha active and the passive one, forces and fields, contribute to the properties of the Sources, with their peculiar characteristics. The active aspect (force) is responsible for the property that we call causality, that represent the active side of the production of an effect in the form of Events, Actions. The passive aspect (field) is responsible for the property that we call spatial-temporality, the union of the spatiality and the temporality, that represent the passive side of the production of an effect in the form of Events, Actions. It represent the variational aspect of the Source, the Action of the active side on the passive side produced variation in the space-time dimensions of Reality (in an extended sense, as we will describe further in this paper).

Primary and derived Sources

The whole Reality, the Universe in evolution, emerges as a manifestation of a unique Source, that express causality, spatiality and temporality. We call it the Fundamental or Primary Source. Everything that exists is the product of a Process of Formation that represents the expression of the creative and evolutive power of that Source. Every Event, every Action, every Information, Structure or Form produces by that process is in turn a new source of events, actions, information, structures and forms. Everything that exists is in turn a new derived source, that manifests, express itself in infinite derived processes that all together compose the infinite Process of Formation of Reality.

The Primary Source

The Primary Source, also called the Source of Reality, is the source of the Elementary Events, the Elementary Action, the most elementary form of "substance", which supports the existence of the whole Reality and the Universe in evolution.

The Source of Reality, the Fundamental or Primary Source, is the causal origin and the space-time texture of the existence and the essence/form of Reality. Its inner aspects / components, the Fundamental Force and the Elementary Field, are the fundamental sub-entities from whose interaction Reality incessantly emerges. Force and Field are a unity, two different expressions of the same Source. The Force is the active, the creative side of the Source. The Field is the passive, its receptive side.

Nothing is absolute in the Reality, but the Source. Everything else emerges from the inner interaction of the Force and the Field, in a creative and evolutive process, the Process of Formation of Reality. Even causality and the space and time emerge from the Source and are not absolute entities. They too are made of events, made by that inner interaction that produces the most elementary form of existence, the Elementary Events, the Elementary Action. Both space and time (local) extensions (distances in space and intervals in time) depend on the (local) average intensities of the distributions of the Elementary Events, the tiny fluctuation of the Elementary Field at the Planck scale.

The Source is an impersonal, unintentional, unwilling, no cognitive natural entity without finality. From its expression, the existence emerges, and the whole Reality evolves. However, the Source, origin of all the possibilities, of all the evolutive lines of Reality, is the causal origin of the evolution toward intention, toward will, cognition, life, and so on. Finality emerges as complexity arises.

The fundamental causal entity, root of the creation and the evolution of Reality, is not pure chance, not a mere casual fluctuation, absolute chaos without a direction. The Source is not even an intelligent entity, a god, a supernatural, a super powerful agent. In other words, in this system of knowledge, Reality is not seen as a fruit of pure causality, as most of the science proposes, nor as a product of the creation of God/Gods, the result of an intelligent design, or whatsoever a supernatural effect, as in most of the religious beliefs.

Chaos and casuality together with direction, organization, emergence are the fundamental characterizing aspects of the manifestation of the Source. Observing Reality, the Universe in evolution, it is so evident that these aspects coexist, as creation and evolution co-operate in the incessant formation (construction) of Reality.

The properties of the Primary Source completely determine the dimensionalities / dimensions of Reality:

• causality / cause / (a property of the sub-entity that we call Fundamental Force)
• spatiality / space
• temporality / time (spatiality and temporality, together represent the two properties, or better a unified property, of the other sub-entity that we call Elementary Field).

So, "why is there the Source?". The reason why there is a source of existence, in my opinion, will remain forever unanswered. This is and will ever be a mystery, the only mystery that we ought to accept as non-resolvable… our limit in knowledge…

The Source of Reality, the Primary Source, is the causal origin and the variational (space-time) texture of the Existence and the Essence / Form of Reality.

The Primary Source is the Entity that produce, emit, generate, create the Elementary Events, the Elementary Action, from whose organization everything comes.

Its inner aspects / components, the Fundamental Force and the Elementary Field, are the fundamental sub-entities from whose interaction Reality incessantly emerges. The Properties of the Primary Source completely determine the dimensions of Reality: cause, space and time.

Force and Field are a unity, two different aspects of the same Source. The Force is the active, the creative side of the Source. The Field is the passive, its receptive side.

The only entity whose absolute existence can be affirmed is the Primary Source, in its two aspects, Fundamental Force acting on the Elementary Field. It is the fundamental entity, absolute creative power.

The Primary Source is the Entity which, through the Action of the Force on the Field, mediates the transition from Nothingness to Emptiness, from Nothing to the Void (sub-process of Creation: production and dynamics of Events, of Action) and from Emptiness to Somethingness, from Void to Something (sub-process of Evolution: production and dynamics of Relations, of Information), the two sub-processes that make up the Process of Formation of Reality, and its expression in the physical domain, the Process of Formation of Physical Reality. The Source transforms the absolute, the "Nothing", in relative, in Existence, in Something. In its active aspect that we call the Fundamental Force, the Source represent the fundamental Agent of reification, trasmuting the potential into the actual. The Fundamental Force and its derivations, the Operators of Reality and all the Derived Agents / Forces that act at the various levels of complexity, create and evolve Reality, organizing Events with Relations in Processes. That's all that exist. Nothing less, nothing more.

We can say that the Source exists, because it produces the fundamental form of existence, the Elementary Events, the Elementary Action, the existential substratum of Reality, that supports Information, which gives form to the Action.

All the Structures of Information and the Forms, that dynamically and evolutionarily make up Reality, possess the property of "derived existence", as different organizations of the Events that constitute the Elementary Action.

Derived Sources

Derived Sources are entities that emit, generate, create a more complex form of Events, Action, from the level of the more elementary forms of structures in the Elementary Field to the most complex forms that make up the Universe. Every Structure of Information, every Form, every System, the whole Universe are Sources, entities that produce Events, Action.

Everything that exists, in turn can be seen as a Source. Every Process of Events, so every Action, Information, Structure of Information or Form, can be seen in turn as a new source of events. As the Fundamental Source, even if derived sources are always indivisible unities, they can been seen as force / field couples, whose inner interaction produces Events, Action, Information, Structures, Forms, at the various level of Reality, both in the physical domain and in the meta-physical / cognitive one.

Even if composed by a huge number of parts (Structures, Forms, Systems), every Entity is an individual Source. Its properties and behaviors, at a new and higher level of Complexity, emerge from the interaction of the properties and behaviors of its parts. Its properties and behaviors can be seen as collective properties and behaviors.

The Source of Reality, the Primary Source, is the causal origin and the variational (space-time) texture of the Existence and the Essence / Form of Reality. In its Primary form, the Source manifests itself at the most elementary level of Reality, creating the most elementary form of Existence.

Derived Sources are the Entities that produce, emit, generate, create the Complex Events that make up Reality and the Universe in evolution. Complex Events are various organized set / networks of Elementary Events, or less Complex Events, in a nested organization of increasing Complexity.

In its infinite derived forms, the Primary Source also manifests itself at all the more complex levels, where it drives the evolution of Reality and the Universe. Any Structure of Information, any Form, in turn becomes a source (a couple of derived force and field), a source of Events, of Action. All the Structures of Information and the Forms possess the property of "derived existence", as different organizations of the Events that constitute the Elementary Action.

Derived Sources are the causal origin and the variational texture of the Existence and the Essence / Form of Reality at the level more complex that the elementary one.

Classification of Sources

At any level of Reality we can identify one or many classes of derived sources. So, we will see that Action, Information, the Structures of Information, the Forms that compose the physical and the cognitive Universe represent the product of the various sections of the Process of Formation of Reality, and, at the same time, a new source that, in that same process, leads to the creation / evolution of new products, new steps in the evolution toward the complexity that we see in the Universe.
