TFNR - States: snapshots of the world in motion
A state is any possible configuration of a Field, of the organization of the Relations between Events in / of it, any snapshot of a Process, in its totality or of more or less extended portions, so called Space-time domains.
More in general, a state of an Entity (a Field) is represented by the set of its attributes, of its Properties, by the dynamics of the Events that occur in it and of the patterns of the Relations that give it structure.
Configuration of a dynamic system, set of the values of the parameters that describe the System itself. A condition of a Property of a System.
The possible configurations (commonly called "states", regimes, phases, etc. with various different meanings) range from complete / absolute chaos (disordered Systems) to complete order (ordered Systems). Among these extremes we can find all the states of Systems, organized states, Processes, etc. It is in this territory of organization that we can find the Evolution towards the Complexity that characterizes the processes that we see at work in the Formation of Reality, both the Physical and the Cognitive.
Even the Processes that appear to be more static, less variable, involve some minimal variation (in the organization of the Relations that link the Events). And, in any case, at the most elementary level of Reality, the Elementary Field is teeming with Elementary Events, microscopic variations in spatial distances, areas, volumes. Even in the "coldest" regions of the Universe, at the center of super massive Black Holes, where Time flows at an extremely slow pace, where the density and intensity of elementary spatial fluctuations is minimal, nevertheless some minimal change occurs.
States, in the sense given by conventional physics, both classical and quantum, do not really exist. In Reality Time cannot be stopped. We can take a snapshot of a Field, of one or more of its aspects, and call that a "State". But it is always an abstraction.
Systems incessantly evolve, even when they appear static and stable. States, to which Information / Energy correspond, do not exist in Reality, because Time never stops. There are only flows, there are only Events, Action, the products of creative sub-processes, the substance of everything, the materials that feed the evolutionary sub-processes.
Reality happens, it does not exist in the classical sense that we attribute to this term. If Time could be stopped, nothing would happen anymore, no event, Reality would no longer exist. Nothing would exist anymore. The concept of state, of existing in a condition of staticity, of non-variation is erroneous. Normally we imagine that if we stopped Time everything would remain as if petrified, immobile. But this is a profoundly wrong image, which does not take into account the profound nature of Reality.
Overcoming an apparent contradiction in terms, we can imagine "dynamic states", conditions of dynamic systems, photographs of processes in the flow of their Existence and Evolution. Here then we can bring attention to the greater or lesser homogeneity, to the modalities of the development of dynamics, to the nature and carteristics of the organization of such dynamics, etc.
Summarizing, we must consider "states" as abstract conditions", modalities of organization of the Relations that link the Events that occur in the Elementary Field and that make up its Dynamics.
A proposal of classification of states:
- Fundamental states
- Physical states
