Definition

Information is what gives form (Essence / Form).

At each level of Reality, Information is organized Action, the whole set of Relations, produced by the expression of the Operator Relation, the links the Events in Processes, the informative elements in structures, then in Forms, parts in Systems, in a whole, the Universe in evolution.

Information is the object and the product of Evolution.

It is the pattern of organization of the Relations, which link Events in Processes, the Information elements in structures, the parts in a system, in a whole. It is the organizing element in "chaos-order" processes, the key element in the evolution towards complexity. It is the energy, in a broad sense.

In this model of description of Reality, Information is Action that takes a form through Relation. At the most elementary Levels of Reality, Information is represented by the sets/nets of Relations that organize (the distributions of) the Elementary Events, the Elementary Action, and its Modes / Components. Only inhomogeneous sets/nets of Events manifest, represent, "are" Information. Homogeneity represents the minimum level/amount of Information (absolute homogeneity: no Information).

The Cycle of Information as the evolutionary engine of Reality, acted by the following Operators:

• Operator Transformation
• Operator Selection

In the Process of Formation of Physical Reality we speak of Physical Information: it's the Information that organizes the Physical Structures of Information and the Physical Forms, produced by the physical activity of the Quantum Agents and the Deterministic Agents:

• Material Forms: the objects made of Dark matter, Dark energy, Ordinary matter and Ordinary energy
• Living Forms - Physical aspects
• Automata Forms - Physical aspects

In the Process of Formation of Cognitive Reality we speak of Cognitive Information: it's the Information that organizes the Cognitive Structures of Information and the Cognitive Forms, produced by the cognitive activity of the Finalistic Agents:

• Immaterial Forms
• Living Forms - Cognitive aspects
• Automata Forms - Cognitive aspects

The Role of Information in the Universe

All we can experience is Information: "In - Form - Action = Action taking Form.

Every interaction, every observation, every physical measure, every perception and every exchange between the cognitive systems of the living being always consists of a set of interactions between Information structures, ultimately, exchange of Information (Action in certain way structured, provided with form) between systems (structures or forms).
