Scheme of the Process of Formation of Cognitive Reality

Definition

Unitary Process through which the Cognitive Reality takes incessantly form and the Cognitive Universe in evolution manifests itself.

The Process of Formation of Cognitive Reality (PFCR) is the unitary process through which the Cognitive Entities, the Cognitive Sources of Reality, in their two complementary and indivisible aspects, the Cognitive Agents / Forces, the fundamental causal agents embodied by the Derived Cognitive Forces, and the Cognitive Acted / Fields, the elementary acted / fields embodied by the Derived Cognitive Fields, interacting each other, the former interacting with the second ones, creates the Cognitive Events that represent the Cognitive Action, the most elementary form of Cognitive Existence. And more, through the formation and organization of the Cognitive Relations among the Events, the Sources make the Cognitive Information to emerge and evolve in Cognitive Structures and Cognitive Forms, those Forms that fill the Cognitive Reality and the Cognitive Universe in evolution.

This is the main process through which the Cognitive Reality takes form. It includes everything in the Cognitive realm, all the fundamental and the derived cognitive entities, all the functional operators that cooperate and compete toward the Cognitive Creation and the Cognitive Evolution of the Cognitive Reality, all the elementary and the Complex Cognitive Events, all the cognitive relations among the cognitive entities and among the cognitive events, all the cognitive Information, Structures and Forms that compose the Cognitive Universe in evolution. All other processes that partecipate to the formations of Reality are to be considered as Derived cognitive processes, particular processes derived from the general PFCR.

It is a view of the more general Process of Formation of Reality, concerning the formation of the cognitive entities and the phenomena of Cognitive Reality, or Metareality, which the cognitive systems of living beings and automata (or, better said, of Finalistic Agents) incessantly construct. The sub-process of Creation (phase transition from Nothing to the Field of Cognitive Action) and the sub-process of Evolution (organization of Cognitive Action and evolution of the Cognitive Information that organizes the Cognitive Fields into Cognitive Structures and Material Forms) together. Metareality, the field in which the cognitive activity of living beings constantly evolves, is the result of a co-evolutionary process of constructing Semantic Networks and Knowledge Systems, created by the interaction of propagational and conservative structures, respectively Messages, the Cognitive Structures of Propagation, and Concepts, the Cognitive Structures of Conservation, deriving from their cognitive activity.

This Process, though unitary, only for descriptive purposes, can be ideally:

  • represented through two sub-processes:
  • considered as a superposition of more layers, the different Levels of Cognitive Reality
  • divided into twelve points which correspond to the derived Cognitive entities, the fundamental operators responsible for the formation of Cognitive Reality:

Description

Knowledge is the part of Reality, which consists in the process of manifestation of the Force, the fundamental causal entity that incessantly gives rise to the whole, the evolving Universe. As part of this universal Reality, Cognitive Reality, or Metareality, is itself an evolutionary process, characterized by the same fundamental functional principles that regulate the Creation and the Evolution, Existence and Essence / Form of the material Universe.

In the immaterial world of Knowledge, of the representation of Reality, more complex and structured than the material world, the functional principles, the Operators of Cognitive Reality, who carry out the Process of Formation, express themselves in ways that are sometimes different and less deterministic than what happens for the strict natural laws, as we observe in the phenomenal world of matter.

With the rise of life, the cognitive process that we call Metareality began. Physical reality and metareality, as complementary aspects of the universal reality, co-evolve, co-constructing the Reality as a whole. The dynamics of the Cognitive Reality, the discipline that studies the evolutionary dynamics of cognition and knowledge, is based on an integrally constructivist approach.
