evKnowledge is a research project born from the desire to build a unitary and global representation of Reality, from the most elementary levels, in the deep of the world of infinitely small, to the most complex and extended ones, the cosmos, the life, the Universe.
We want to achieve a deeper integration of the areas of investigation, to promote the construction of a unified conceptual framework and a set of integrated cognitive tools, to reach a real progress in the understanding of Reality.
The object of this research, which aims to extend the evolutionary approach to all areas of investigation of Nature, is the Reality itself, a process of continuous and incessant of formation (creation and evolution), and its manifestation, the Universe, seen as an evolving complex whole.
The development of new concepts, new theories, and, together, the recovery of the precious cultural heritage of humanity, can produce decisive synergistic effects in the process of building a less dogmatic and fragmented knowledge.

The Evolutionary Knowledge Base Project aims to create a knowledge base, a web resource able to collect and organize the materials produced within the research area of Evolutionary Knowledge, which includes Evolutionary Physics and Evolutionary Metaphysics.
The construction of the knowledge base is supported by the development of a web application for the exploration of semantic networks, of visual cognitive maps, for an easier access to an organized collection of key concepts, bibliographical references and supporting documentation on a complex and articulated subject.

Research Areas are ways of expression of the research activity, of the construction of the knowledge base and of artistic and technological creation.
They represent the fundamental sections in which the Evolutionary Knowledge Project is ideally articulated, both in the theoretical and application fields.
Overall, the five areas potentially cover all fields of interest in natural and human knowledge and provide an integrated picture of the various representations of cognitive and experiential reality.

Try a new experience! Explore the Evolutionary Knowledge Base through the Semantic Maps Viewer - SMV (new version at Semantic Maps Viewer - SMV - Beta test version. A web resource that allows you to explore the lands of Evolutionary Knowledge, among concepts and relations that form semantic networks organized into thematic maps.
A succession of maps organized in successive hierarchical levels will allow you to descend from the more general level of Universal Reality, through increasingly specific and detailed areas, up to the very foundations of Nature and the Universe.
Principles, physical entities, natural phenomena, cognitive developments, all concepts are represented by a network of graphic objects, which allow easy access to the pages that form the Evolutionary Knowledge Base and, together, to grasp the structure and internal organization of the Evolutionary Knowledge System.

If you wish to participate in the development of the Project, you can provide your voluntary contribution in various ways:
- joining the discussion on "hot topics" through the blog evknowledge,
- contributing to the revision and completion of pages of this wiki
- proposing innovative ideas, not canonical, potentially able to generate significant developments in the evolution of knowledge,
- by directly joining the research activities.
In particular, general and specialist scientific skills in physics and mathematics are required. Computer and computational skills, too. Other Research Areas need contributions on humanistic themes, philosophy, religions, social sciences, etc.

The contributions will be used in part to face the expenses related to the IT support that allows the existence of this website and the web applications, for the dissemination of the research results (which are granted with Creative Commons license), to promote the interaction of researchers and all interested parties. And in part they will be used to directly support research activities, to acquire adequate computing power for simulations, and so on.
