Attributes, characteristics, ways of expressions, qualities and quantities of Entities, Events, Relations, Processes, Phenomena. Examples of fundamental properties: Causality, Variationality, Spatiality, Temporality, Existence, Essence / Form, Extension and Size, Capacity, Behavior.
Common definition
Characteristics of an entity. Physical property: particular characteristic of a given system. Properties in mathematics: characteristic of certain mathematical objects; formally, a unary relationship. In modern philosophy, mathematics and logic, a property is an attribute of an object, a red object is said to have the property of redness. Property can be considered a form of object in its own right, capable of possessing other properties. However, a property differs from individual objects in that they can be instantiated, and often in more than one thing. It differs from the logical / mathematical concept of class by not having any concept of extensionality, and from the philosophical concept of class by the fact that a property is considered different from the objects it possesses. Understanding how different individual (or particular) entities may somehow have the same properties is the basis of the problem of universals.
